In a brilliant (albeit potentially expensive) promotion designed to bring in customers Taco Bell has offered to give everyone in America a free Doritos Taco Loco if a player in the World Series steals a base. I’ve actually tried them and if you like Nacho Doritos (who doesn’t!) you will love these. Yes, it’s one of my guilty pleasures…
The promotion, called Steal A Base – Steal A Taco was nearly fulfilled in the 4th inning when Detroit infielder Omar Infante singled, and then attempted to steal second base but was thrown out by San Francisco catcher Buster Posey.
Later in the 8th inning Giants outfielder Angel Pagan walked and succeeded in stealing second, and now Taco Bell is on the hook for a whole lot of tacos! Just stop by your local Taco Bell on Tuesday October 30th between the hours of 2pm and 6pm and get yours! Limit one taco per person, and only on the date/time announced.
