Jesus, Coffee, and Me. While not grammatically correct, this succinctly sums up this fledgling company’s motto, to start each and every day with a prayer, a great cup of coffee, and some quiet contemplation. Started in 2011 by Escondido residents Mitch and Lidia Rennix, His Coffee Company is the only Christian labeled coffee, and the Rennix family is seeking to bring the estimated 1.5 billion Christian coffee and tea drinkers a product they can believe in and support.
They are more than just a coffee company though, click here to read about all the wonderful charity work they do.
A quick glance through their product names and you notice the catchy names such as “Raise The Dead” (bold), “Holy Grounds” (medium), “Vanilla From Heaven” (vanilla), and “Be Still” (decaf). They also offer a selection of quality herbal teas: Earl Grey, Green, Chamomile, and Fruit Infusion.
Using only 100% Organic Certified, Fair Trade coffees and teas, His Coffee Company puts their money where their mouths are. Though slightly more expensive than Starbucks (His medium roast 12oz $12.99, Starbucks Organic Shade Grown medium roast 16oz $13.95), with His Coffee Company you are supporting a local operation, with Christian faith and values that you can count on. Not to mention a great cup of coffee! Don’t take my word for it, because in all fairness I don’t even drink coffee, so here are a couple of the comments I overheard at the open house on August 1st:
“Wonderful! I can’t wait to bring this to the office!”
“The decaf doesn’t even taste like decaf, such a full flavor.”
“Can you get that camera out of my face, please?”
There you have it, definitive proof that His Coffee Company will rock your socks. I even came up with a couple new slogans for their next ad campaign…
“Resurrect yourself with a cup of His Coffee in the morning!”
“Start your day with a Cup of Christ!”
No? Ok, maybe you can do better 🙂
